* I tried using "watch -n1 xprintidle" to see if my idle time was somehow getting reset, but it doesn't look like it. 5.44 is out now, and required re-writing the entire xmatrix-color thing. So I don't know something's wrong until someone tells me. I checked to make sure that XFCE is launching the xscreensaver daemon in the background after I log in, and it is. And then (afaik) doesn't provide any way to subscribe to updates (rss, email.). The event-mask field specifies which, if any, screen saver events this client has requested using. The idle field specifies the number of milliseconds since the last input was received from the user on any of the input devices. Gluqlo is inspired by (and to some extent is based on) noflipqlo aka Now Open Flipqlo 2.0 by Jacek Kuniarski.

The source list is designed to support any number of active sources and a variety. The screen saver window was mapped with attributes set by a client using the ScreenSaverSetAttributes request. Gluqlo (or, if you prefer) is a SDL remake of well-known awesome Fliqlo screensaver which is originally avaliable for Windows and OSX platforms only. This control file is located in /etc/apt/sources.list and additionally any files ending with '.list' in /etc/apt/ are included. GitHub - Zygo/xscreensaver: The closest thing to a git repo of xscreensaver known to exist, because jwz Does Not Do Github. Please send pull requests and bug reports directly to the upstream project.

But when I leave a console window idle running "xev", it doesn't display any new keyboard or mouse events while I'm idle. The package resource list is used to locate archives of the package distribution system in use on the system. The closest thing to a git repo of xscreensaver known to exist, because jwz Does Not Do Github. * I suspected perhaps that there's some sort of hardware error on my machine (e.g., stuck keyboard key). * When I do invoke the screensaver manually, after maybe 30 seconds to 1 minute, the xscreensaver login dialog pops up, as if I had pressed a key or moved the mouse. * I can still invoke the screensaver manually (e.g., using xflock4). * Screen saver is supposed to kick in after 1 minute of idle time, but it's not happening. But I checked them again and they all look correct. I haven't made changes to the xscreensaver settings in a long time.

I don't know quite what has triggered this - or even if this bug is necessarily in the xscreensaver code - but my screen saver has stopped engaging as of about a week ago.
